ECM-1240 Energy Monitor Software

Third Party Soft:
tenEcmServer

tenEcmServer connects to one or two Brultech ECM-1220 or ECM-1240s and receives energy consumption data via either a serial port and/or via TCP/IP (using the EtherBee or EtherPort). tenEcmServer then broadcasts the ECM data to one or more computers on your network. This allows you to run multiple programs that all utilize realtime data from the ECMs. For instance, tenEcmServer provides the data to the tenHsEcm12xx HomeSeer plugin.

ecmread v2.3.3

Update to the python script by Brian Jackson, Kelvin Kakugawa, Marc Merlin, and others. The original script could read from only a single ECM. This update includes the following:

  • read from any number of ECM devices by associating data with the serial number
  • support for: PlotWatt, PeoplePower, SmartEnergyGroups, EnerSave
  • upload to multiple services and/or database in a single app instance
  • respect the reset flag when calculating power
  • use checksum to validate each packet
  • ignore invalid packets (e.g. due to serial line collisions)
  • emit aux5 DC voltage output
  • optionally save watt-hour data to database
  • provide instructions for setting up each service
  • optionally read parameters from configuration file

ecmread for ECM-1240

ecmread.py is a PowerMeter data processor written in python for Linux. It supports NET Metering and graphing with cacti. For more information, please see this page.

ECM Toolbar for Firefox

A toolbar for your electric use. Requires ECM 1220 or 1240, products of Brultech Research, Inc and ECM Server software. The Energy Consumption Monitor (ECM) is a home energy monitor that allows you to see electricity usage in real-time.

BLPowerMonitor

The BLPowerMonitor Plug-in for HomeSeer will monitor your power usage using multiple Brultech monitors, such as the ECM-1220 and ECM-1240. This plugin is written in VB .Net 2.0 and requires Homeseer Version 2.1.0 or later.

Crestron Module

This module will allow you to integrate up to 6 ECM-1240 devices with your Crestron system.

Crestron PlotWatt

This module works in conjuction with the Creston Module. It allows you to send your energy usage to PlotWatt.com. Click here for more information.

PlotWatt/MyEnerSave

A collection of different software to interface with different sites, such as MyEnerSave and PlotWatt.

CQC Device Driver

This driver is meant to be a single interface for all Brultech home power monitors (currently 1220 and 1240), whether connected via Serial, IP, or through the Brultech Engine.
