The most basic monitoring solution has one or more ECM-1240 devices reporting to a local computer.
The Engine software collects real-time data and saves it to a database.
The Dashboard software provides the ability to view live and historical data directly from the PC.
The data packets from the ECM-1240 are sent directly to a PC
Although the PC does not need to be running 24/7, load profile data will only be available when the PC is running. The energy consumption data will still be accurate although the PC is not running, however the charting of energy used while the PC was down will be averaged. Example <link to PC off chart web800>
