Multiple ECM-1240 devices direct to a network or Internet. (wired communication link)

The EP-1 EtherPort gateway is required for wired Ethernet connection. The RS-232 data from each of the ECM-1240 devices are combined using the MUX adaptor and connected to a single EP-1. The EP-1 then connects to the network via RJ-45 Ethernet connection to a network hub, switch or Internet router.

The downfall of using this method is that the occasional data collision may occur. This will not affect the data integrity, it would only affect the load profile slightly. Our demo site has been using a MUX-2 adaptor for nearly a year now.
