Expansion Package:

Add seven more channels to your existing ECM-1240 system using a second (or third) device.

The cost of the expansion system has been optimized to make it an affordable add-on for those having purchased the basic system.

• ECM-1240 with RS-232 communications
• Nine Micro-CTs (40A ea.) for connection to AUX1 to AUX5
• Four MicroCT-2 (80A ea.) for two large 120/240V loads or sub panels. For use on CH1 and CH2.

Communication is based on using a second RS-232 port, resulting in one ECM-1240 per RS-232 port.

A solution will soon be available to combine two RS-232 ports on to one EtherPort gateway. This will require a special RS-232 adaptor.

Although mainly used with the ECM-1240 AUX channels, the Micro-40 may also be used on CH1 or CH2 by including a resistor (supplied) in parallel. (May not be connected in conjunction with other CT models on a given channel.)

Typically used on breaker circuits 15A to 40A (copper).

Ethernet to XBee® adaptor provides Ethernet connectivity for any ECM monitor with installed XBee® module.

Comes with 5VDC regulated power supply and 3' Ethernet cable (RJ-45).

Ethernet to RS-232 adaptor provides Ethernet connectivity via the ECM-1240's RS-232 port.

Comes with 5VDC regulated power supply and 3' Ethernet cable (RJ-45) and RS-232 pigtail cable (1.5ft).

Allows USB communication with the ECM-1240.

The DB-9 pigtail connects to the ECM-1240's RS-232 terminal strip and plugs into the "Serial to USB" adaptor.

This option includes:

• the addition of a wireless module installed in the ECM-1220

• USB Dongle which plugs into the communicating PC.

The wireless communication option is based on Digi International's XBee module. This module is ZigBee Pro compatible and operates on a mesh network.

The USB to XBee radio provides communications with an ECM monitor possessing a wireless module. It is programmed as a coordinator.

The dongle may be re-programmed with any Digi firmware (www.digi.com) using Digi's downloadable X-CTU software tool. This allows the dongle to be used for other application.
