200 Amp, 2 Pole Home

Our main panel has 200 amp, 2-pole service coming in, with a mostly full panel (42 total positions). Here's a breakdown (We have not yet verified these, but it is what is written in the panel):

Notes:
* In the future, we'll likely add another monitoring device in the garage, but we're not looking to do so at this time. We're not currently using an electrical dryer hookup, so we can measure the breaker for the garage today, and move the CTs to the dryer when we get that panel monitored.
* While it is not a hard requirement, accuracy is important. Given that, we have a preference for using the Mirco-100 CTs
* Connectivity would be over Ethernet
* No need for pulse or temperature measuring at this time (might be added in the future, but no strong opinion)

Goals:
* Monitor power usage throughout the house to better understand usage
* Understand when we're generating more power with solar than we are using
* Connecting this to our Home Assistant install (which looks to be fairly easy).

Questions:
* Can we combine some circuits to measure their combined load on one channel?
* What is the wattage of the system? Asking to figure out the appropriately-sized POE adapter to use instead of a transformer.
* Does the PT-480 provide more accuracy of the voltage measurement?
* Should the PT-480 be connected to both 120 lines in a 240V system?


We think we need a GEM for this, but we'd prefer to not have two of them for the main panel.

Looking at your PDF, you have exactly 32 labelled breakers (240V breakers are usually combined onto 1 channel). Add the mains into that and you'll need 33 channels, so you'll only have to combine one load.

* Can we combine some circuits to measure their combined load on one channel?

Yeah, if using a bunch on one channel you'll likely want to splice them externally and only have 2 wires going into the terminal strip.

* What is the wattage of the system? Asking to figure out the appropriately-sized POE adapter to use instead of a transformer.

The GEM itself doesn't use much, just a few watts. Communication option is the issue. I would spec to 1A-2A.

* Does the PT-480 provide more accuracy of the voltage measurement?
* Should the PT-480 be connected to both 120 lines in a 240V system?

It is higher accuracy then our standard PT, in normal usage you likely won't notice a difference unless there's a huge imbalance between phases. You can connect it to a single breaker or dual breaker, dual breaker may be more accurate as you get the average voltage between phases instead of just the one single-phase.

Oh that's great! I suppose I'll need two CTs for those (unless it's a balanced load), and both will be connected to the same channel, right?

It looks like we want the GreenEye Monitor Package with Package A and Package J (the latter is unfortunately out of stock), additional Micro-100 CTs, plus the PT-480. Any idea when Package J will be back in stock?
