Newbie looking for system suggestion

Thanks Ben, and those will work with what I am trying to do? Meaning I can have the GEM with the wi-fi transmit up to my router and which my home PC can then get that data and display it using one of those links you provided, correct?

I really appreciate both of your guys help and time on this.

I think I can talk the wife in the GEM setup, but if I have to include the DB it might put the price out of reach, so that is why I am asking all these questions now.

The GEM by default is capable of sending its energy data to SEG. As Ben also noted you can also push / poll the same data using any of the free software suites.

The DB is a premium offering from Brultech for those who really want a plug and play solution which provides tremendous amounts of charts, graphs, and related features not found in competing software / hardware devices in the market.

If the software offerings meet your near term needs that is the way to go. When the finances allow you may see the great benefit the DB brings to the table.
