My first thought after reading this headline, is that I wouldn't mind seeing Brultech bought by Google. I have a couple Nest thermostats and protects (smoke/CO detector) and can't wait to see what Google adds. The potential for GEM and DB (and others) with the developers and bankroll of Google is incredible.
I hope that sounds ok. I meant it as a good thing.

Yeah, sounds OK. Would be great to have that amount of resources at your disposal.depasseg wrote:My first thought after reading this headline, is that I wouldn't mind seeing Brultech bought by Google. Wouldn't be too worried on this acquisition, Nest sells a lot of thermostats every month and they're still operating as Nest.jerryt wrote:More likely Google will kill Nest's product line.
Just like SageTV.
SageTV, according to Wikipedia (not the greatest source, I know), was bought to be integrated into Googles Fiber service.
