Solar Incentives

Post by bel » Fri Sep 14, 2012 8:53 pm

We hooked up the ECM 1240 to do Net Metering on a PV System. It is listed as an eligible meter in California on this website http://www.gosolarcalifornia.org/equipm ... m_perf.php

However, it states that it is not eligible for Performance Based Incentives. Apparently we need to have a certificate documenting accuracy to less than 2%.

Does this certificate exist so that we could use the ECM 1240 to get PB incentives?

We don't have that certificate. It would have to be tested with specific CTs and PTs.

We probably won't be pursuing this with the ECM-1240, but might consider it for the GEM in the future.

Hi Ben,

I'm curious if you've tested the GEM for the above purpose or if you still have plans to.

Haven't tested for the above purpose yet. Probably won't get to do anything along those lines for awhile due to the need for better documentation, etc.
