CT / Rogowski Coils Inteface ?

Post by roscoe » Fri Feb 24, 2012 8:31 am

Hey,

Has Brultech ever considered supporting Rogowski coil type CTs ?

Ok, high end current but has big advantages on hooking up to big supplies. Even seen pricing become approachable nowadays (not the fluke one!) at under $200 each for 10,000 A.

Just clip flexible 2 ft cable around the conductor and thats it, magic.

Just wondering if you have considered interfacing to these creatures.

I spoke with Paul and he spent a fair bit of time messing around with Rogowski coils. The main limitations he came across are problems with interference and battery life with the integrator.

We may look at supporting them with the GreenEye Monitor in the future.
