Inductor Specs on Insteon 2486D

Post by chasepeeler » Wed Jul 22, 2020 12:04 pm

Dealing with circuits is rather new to me, but, I can solder so I figured I'd try replacing the capacitors on my 2846D that went bad (it just makes a clicking sound) before spending $80 to replace it. It's not like I can make it more broken*. I wasn't paying attention and accidently removed the inductor that's next to the 10uF capacitor. I'm trying to figure out what I need to get to replace it. I found a few that look the same on digikey, but I don't know where to go from there to filter it down to a single option.

Thanks!

The inductor in question is the 1mH component that is 3rd from the bottom.

*I guess I can make it more broken by doing things like removing the inductor by accident. :-)

It's an old thread here: https://forum.universal-devices.com/top ... tinuously/ but you could try asking over at UDI and see if they know.

I asked Paul and he said to measure the pin spacing and diameter. The issue is you need to know how much DC current it needs to handle.
