Extension of the STS cable

Can the STS Cable which came with the DashBox be extended by using a stereo 3.5mm headphone extension cable? Is there a max distance? I need 25 feet.

I can't think of any issues you'll have doing that.

I have used CAT5 cable to bridge about 35 ft between Dashbox and GEM. On very rare occasions I do lose connection. The most recent firmware has dramatically improved on that and since updating I have not received any more dropped package notes. So you should be fine :-)
