Hi I'm interested in doing some monitoring too!
I have basic 200 amp service and would like to at least monitor the following (to start) :
* 30 kw electric furnace 240 volts about 125 amps(?)
* 30 amp 240 volt hot water
* 30 amp Ac 240 volt
* 30 amp dryer 240 volt
* 40 amp stove 240 volt
* misc 15 amp loads
Looks like I would need 4 split 200 ct's and a bunch of micro 50's?
I'm also supposing the GEM is the best bet?

GEM is the best bet, correct.
If the breaker is 125A, you may be able to use a Split-100 instead of a Split-200 if it fits into the Split-100 (0.61" inner diameter). It can go past 100A.
The rest of the CTs look correct if you want 1% CTs. You could also use Micro-80s.

You have it figured out then. If you can identify which 240V circuits have no neutral, you can monitor them with 1 CT instead of 2.dvand wrote:Good catch yes. Would like to be at 1%.

2 Micro-50s for any 240V with neutral or
1 Micro-50 for any 240V without neutral
1 Micro-50 per 120V load
2 Split-200s
2 Split-100s
