A quick note, I forgot to mention that your existing ECM-1240s can also be used with the same DashBox via HTTP.

Thanks Ben. Problem is I'd need two more (I have two) to be able to monitor 30 individual circuits, so it makes sense to upgrade to GEM, no?

Yeah, definitely better off getting a GEM. But, if you wanted, you could use the GEM and the 2 ECM-1240s with the same DashBox is what I meant.

Thanks Ben

So would I use the Etherport to send from ECM-1240 to the dash, or serial?

Couple of quick questions:

I have a 30 breaker box and want to monitor each circuit individually and the main feed. So ordinarily the GEM will do all 31, correct?

I have a few 220 circuits, I can't recall if these need 2 CT's and or 2 channels. They are probably 30A or 50A (it's a house I'm buying so can't be sure right now, but want the GEM and CT's before closing date)

Regards

Hello Mark,

The GEM will handle all 31 circuits just fine. The 240 circuits can be monitored with two CT's or with one if they are a balanced load without a neutral. If using one CT on the balanced load you simply double it up via software. If the 240 load has a neutral you will need two CT's in place and it will simply occupy one channel PJ.

EtherPort would send to the DashBox from the ECM-1240 if you wanted to continue to use them.
