Main Channel - Watts

Post by cdnjeepin » Mon Feb 10, 2014 2:26 pm

So i am thinking that if I am monitoring all breakers on my fuse panel, the total watts of the main channel should be equal to all the other channels combined.

I know it wont be 100% due to different times packets are set, but it should be close i would think.

right now my SAD says 1411watts

if i add them up, i have 924watts

What monitors are you using?

Figured out the problem. My electric heater cts must be set wrong. Only reading 120v instead of 240v

If you're monitoring with one CT (assuming it has no neutral),

- In terms of the AUX channels on the ECM-1240, you'll have to enable X2 settings.
- CH1/CH2 or any channel on the GEM, dropping the range by 1 will double the value. The GEM has a toggle for this under the CT settings section.
