Pulse Counters

I've been doing some research, but was curious what/if other GEM users are using pulse counting devices, specifically what types/models. I'm interested in monitoring my water (comes off a well, but I would still be interested to see how much I'm using) and fuel oil usage (Interior Alaska relies heavily on Fuel Oil and Wood for heat :( )
