Serial number changed

I have an older GEM. It had periodic problems, then a couple of months ago, it just stopped working. After researching, I found the problem with the power supply, I bought a 5v 2a supply, and the GEM came back to life. However, the configuration was messed up. I had to reset the WizNET ethernet module, then had to reset the GEM itself. It took several tries, but I was finally able to get to the setup page.

It was full of invalid data. So I did a factory reset, and get things to look normal. I see live data, but haven't got home assistant to talk to it yet.

One of the problems I see is that the serial number changed. It use to be 01000xxx, but is has changed to 25565535, which look to be all 1s in binary.

How do I set the serial number back to the original value?
