Broken Channel

Post by nbsvirginia » Mon Jun 27, 2022 11:17 am

One of my GEM channels seems to be broken. With no CT connected, it constantly shows a load of 960 watts (fluctuating slightly).

Is there a way to fix this? I have tried a full reset of the GEM which did not help.

Thanks!

Check to make sure you don't have any Micro-CTs hooked up like a Split. This will cause bleed to other channels on the GEM.

What's the CT settings on that channel?

All Micro CT's are connected on the inner two connections (B-Type). Only the S200 and the S100 are connected on the outer ones (A-Type).

It is Channel 3.

Try disconnecting CH1/CH2 to see if there's an issue with the burden in one of the Split CTs.

Great catch @ben. Seems the S100 are the cause for the bleeding. I will order new ones.

Try one, then try the other. It would be weird if both are defective. Contact sales(at)brultech.com when you figure it out and let them know you have a defective S100. They should be able to help you out.
