Solar
Hi all,
I have been reading about Solar monitoring and PV and I have a PV System which connects outside of the Main Panel to my Mains.
GEM is installed and I have the 2 Main's CT hooked up to my Main Panel and I have one CT hooked up to my Solar Generation Output (Directly onto the outcoming wires of the Solar Panel array)
What I'm having difficulty is how to set up my Dashbox correctly.Currently it is like this:
Do I have it correct?
The Main Window does not look right
Ricc
Thank you all and have a great day

Re: Solar
- Remove Main from Main A/B, possibly hide those channels also
- Set Main on Main A Gen and Main B Gen
The rest looks good. You might want to hide the non-Gen inverter channel also.

Re: Solar
Hi Ben,
Thanks for the clarification.
My System is as follows:
Solar Panel -> Combiner -> Net Metering Meter -> Main House Meter
So, the Solar Panel Generation feeds the Main Meter and my Phase A/B comes into my House Panel as Main A/B.
Basically, if I correctly understand the Solar feeds me and the Energy Company. I want to make sure that I sell the exact amount of Energy produced or used since some Numbers don't line up.
This was also the Main reason I bought a GEM since I can check all my circuits.
Thanks for the clarification.

Re: Solar
Gotcha. Yeah, set Main A/B Gen as Main. Those are likely the numbers you'll be wanting to look at overall.solarricc wrote: ↑Wed Feb 23, 2022 1:37 pmHi Ben,

Re: Solar
Does anyone know what the accuracy of the Solar PV Monitoring application is?

Re: Solar
By spec:
GEM accuracy is at worst 1%.
Split-CTs are at worst 1%.
Micro-CTs are at worst 3%.
In our tests, accuracy usually at worst is around 1.5% (on devices with poor power factor).
