GEM Network Utility Error 111

I am trying to update the firmware of my GEM-WE from 5.23 to the latest version of 5.39 and I get an Error 111: "It took more than 30 seconds for the progress to increment by 1%."

I am following the steps from this post:

Is there a step that I am missing?

Is any other program trying to actively connect to the GEM (or is the Network setting in the GEM Setup Webpage set to send somewhere)? If so you might be getting unwanted bytes in between F/W bytes.

Yes, that was the problem. I had to turn off the Data Post section as it was still trying to send data during the upgrade.
