Okay, I'm nuts.

At 4:35pm (CST) today, my brand-new GEM has gone nuts:

EVERY channel is reporting crazy numbers, even 21-31 which have no CTs on them.

Every so often, it reverts back to "normal:"

What have I done??

Can you provide an image capture of the various settings in the GEM for review. In the interim power down the unit for ten seconds and bring it back up,

Does the problem go away?

You've installed a Micro-CT like a Split-CT it looks like.

- The Micro-CTs don't have an internal burden resistor.
- Ports 1,2/3,4 on any channel are unburdened also.

Putting a Micro-CT on 1,2 or 3,4 of any channel will cause a current high enough to overload all channels.

BINGO. (I think).

And it was a high-current load, too, the dryer. Putting two and two together, the weirdness stopped when the dryer stopped.

Is my mistake likely to have damaged the GEM?

No damage should come from that, it's still very low amperage.
