Looks like the GEM is a brick as well
Cant access the web page, cant read or get the serial number from the GEM
When I run debug this is what I get.

From past experience the junk data you see above can be ignored. Is this GEM connected to the Dash Box that is having an issue? Also, did this site experience an electrical fault such a a voltage surge / sag?rhombixt wrote:Cant access the web page, cant read or get the serial number from the GEM

If you're using the GEM Network Utility Tool -> Selecting Ethernet Only tab -> Select Search (Lower Right) what information is captured and presented by the GEM?

Got back into the unit:
I defaulted it by removing the battery, putting in a new power supply 5v.

The next steps I would take would be to correct the time for both the GEM & DB. Next, confirm both COM Baud rate 1 & 2 match on the two systems. After that ensure Data Logging on the DB is enabled.rhombixt wrote:Serial#: 01000558

If there is proper connectivity in the Energy Monitor tab the system will indicate Active with a green check mark.
I’ll look to see if there was a V1 image but don’t recall if there ever was besides the one loaded up on the downloads page?!?

Fixated time and date. Baud rates match. Still nothing. Most of the menus don’t work in the dash box . I really need either to replace this unit or maybe default it somehow with a new image

Re: Looks like the GEM is a brick as well
Put my laptop on the serial port with a terminal emulator - when the GEM shows packets being sent, the led changes color, it shows up in the monitor utility in real time, and it prints out just ... on the screen so I think the GEM is ok, the dashbox is probably at fault
