Line voltage dropped to 0 or .4V all of the sudden

Post by topherhansen » Wed Mar 21, 2018 11:46 pm

My gem has been working fine for almost a month. The line voltage dropped to 0 and all of my lines show 0W. The Line Voltage is 0 (or 0.4V) as seen below. And in the web browser view it shows that there is amperage but the voltage is probably being multiplied and zeroing out the wattage.

Verify the PT is plugged in all the way into the barrel connector. For good measure clean out both sides of the connector and the housing with a Q-Tip. Confirm all of the PSU's for the system are also connected and plugged in correctly.

What COM firmware is your GEM running? In the GEM Setup Webpage, under Channel Option there's a PT setting value. Make sure that hasn't gotten messed up (make sure the range isn't greater than 4, and the PT Type is somewhere around 200).

Looks like the actual plug that the PT was plugged into went bad just before I went out of town and started this thread. Just pulling the plug in and out I could hear contact sparks. So looks like I need to change that out. I put it into an extension chord for now and it's showing 128.4V now instead of 0.4V.
Thanks.
