Is there any documentation on how to setup multiple one wire bus temperature sensors?
When looking online it looks like I may need a resistor. Is that correct?
Any recommendations on how to cable up two or more temperature sensors to the connector on the GEM?
Thanks for your help.

Re: One Wire Bus Temperature Sensor Questions
There is a document at Brultech.com (Support) called GEM Quick Guide. It has a diagram of how to wire up the temperature 1-wire sensors (Page 6 or 7). There are also other more detailed guides for GEM which describe how to configure the sensors within the GEM once wired. Hope this helps.

Re: One Wire Bus Temperature Sensor Questions
I used terminal blocks to wire the sensors into the GEM. I went this route to ensure if maintenance or replacement was required it could be done with out impact to other existing 1 wire sensors on the network.

Re: One Wire Bus Temperature Sensor Questions
Teken, I also used a terminal block for my temp sensors. Since this is technically a star topology, based on the 1-wire spec shouldn't I be using 100 ohm resisters on all the legs except for the longest run?

Re: One Wire Bus Temperature Sensor Questions
I've never needed to add in a resistor into the 1 wire network for any of the systems I have. I currently have four active systems two are the dual GEM's. Which provide sixteen 1 wire sensors. The other is from a dual Autelis Bridge system which provides (64) 1 wire sensors.kewlwinter wrote:Teken, I also used a terminal block for my temp sensors. A fifth system is currently under rework and development for a long term project for fire & electrical safety monitoring. That array has 30 something sensors in that system for a total once all of them are online will offer me: 110 sensors
