SAFE - Shut down of the GEM

Post by Mustang65 » Mon Jan 01, 2018 10:29 am

I will be needing to power-down my GEM in the future to make some changes. So, is there a safe procedure to follow when shutting down the GEM.

My thoughts are to:
1 - Disconnect the AC transformer used to monitor the AC voltage
2 - Disconnect the 5VDC GEM power source

I do not think that the link to the DashBox needs to be disconnected.

Is there anything else? I am not to worried, as the firmware should not be affected, but just thought that I would ask.

The 5 VDC Power should be disconnected first than the PT.

I would do this especially if logging to the DashBox so you don't end up with any 0V values.
