Data to multiple places?

Post by brassfly » Sun Jun 25, 2017 7:43 pm

Does anyone know if its possible to send data to a home automation controller (Homeseer) over IP, and connect up Emoncms to the COM2 serial (with a usb adapter) on a RaspPI?

I understood there was an existing plugin for HS already in place. Don't know if it supports sending / receiving the data to a RPi though.

Yes, I've got it working with Homeseer on Com 1 of the GEM, but the graphing is fairly rough, and I'm not convinced that it's getting data reliably. I was thinking I could use the Com2 of the GEM directly into a Rp3 running Emoncms..

You can likely do so via btmon.py as COM2 is limited to using binary formats when running a different packet format on both ports.
