(since the board channels go top to bottom, let's number the block pins 1-4 top to bottom... so that means it's a jumper on pins 3/4, sound ok?)

It has to be added to the ports shown in the picture, the other two won't do anything unfortunately.

It can be added inline with the CTs however.

Sounds right, assuming mounted with the Sys/COM LEDs in the top-right.

Thanks Ben,

So if the CT is on pins 2-3, that puts a resistance load on the CT...

So what does adding a jumper on the two outside pins do?

(does it jumper, and thus remove/negate the resistance??)

just trying to understand this... thx...

/Fred

The jumper works as a filter to remove noise. I'm not sure the exact mechanics behind it. I'll ask Paul tomorrow for a proper explanation.

Hi Ben,
Do you know when Paul will be in to ask hiim?
Thanks, Fred

It grounds the terminal.

Hi Ben,
I had left a further set of questions on this...
Did it get removed?
Fred

Hmm, I'm not seeing them. Repost them and I'll look into them.

So I'm assuming it removes spurious signals via grounding...

q1>Do i need to do this to all 30+channels?? (lots have these spurious signals)
(and yes, the one i tried settled right down by doing the jumper!)
q2>Is there a shortcut to not having to do all these jumpers?
q3>Is this because I am using Micro-80's, or >1 circuit per channel?

Thanks, Fred

As noted in my install thread there are several procedures that should be done before using the jumper method.
