This is a good question. However for the channels that have nothing connected to them and hid this would be perfect. So that maybe the best option. Don't worry about the small energy shown on connected channels but for channels with nothing it will stop adding phantom energy consumption for those.
Have you installed it yet? Can you post a couple screenshots?

This GEM is fun to look at and impress my friends with, but wont have great ROI, me is thunkin.
Just in case you weren't aware. You can push the Watt values via the DashBox to your UD ISY (Under Settings->Addons). It's a bit of a pain to setup due to the ISY not allowing automated creation of State Variables. I think this may be different once Nodes are implemented.

Yeah, that's an unfortunate consequence.

I discussed a per-channel setting with Paul. He'll investigate if it's possible.

There's a Java updater on the software section also. It's not as tested as the GEM Network Utility, but worked for myself and others.

Can i micro-calibrate CT's showing incorrect watts?

Post by Teken » Wed Dec 21, 2016 10:45 am

I would really like to see this fix have a per channel filter. Because I have lots of idle gear that consumes 1-2 watts.

Regardless the COM 4.29 did remove superious noise from one channel on GEM 2. As an aside, does this COM firmware include the 1 wire fix which suppresses out of band readings when sensors are first applied?

Some release notes would be great as 4.29 is a big jump from 4.22 which has been rock solid.

4.29 includes the updated 1-wire code.

That's great to hear - If Paul is able to release a updated COM firmware that offers per channel filtering. I would have no issue applying it to my GEM 1 which is my production unit. As noted GEM 2 has been running just fine using COM 4.29.

Thank You

We have a 4.28 version without the channel filtering you could try if you want to see if it helps with the 1-wire issues. I've emailed it over.
