I'm having trouble with the accuracy of the pulse counters. Over time the counters seem to miss quite a few pulses and the counter increasingly lags behind the actual meter.
I read on the forums that the minimum pulse duration for the GEM is 550ms. That's less than 2 pulses per second. And with my meter is generating 2 pulses per litre (2 pulses per rotation) with the pulse being only 2 x 1 tenth of a rotation, I figure the pulse duration is probably less than 550ms. Hence the GEM is missing the occasional pulse.
Is there a way to fix this? A setting somewhere? Or is it hard coded into the firmware? Can I use a frequency divider circuit to solve this problem?
When I use the 1-wire counter module from hobby boards it counting was much more accurate.
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks, Marty.

Re: Pulse width duration for pulse counters?
Marty,
Paul says you can use a divider. We aren't able to make the pulse counters any faster unfortunately.
