Something not right?

Channel #1 is 2 split 200 CT's on the main feed. The sum of the other channels is more than the main... I suspect the main is under reporting... reckon?

Can you post up all of your CT settings to confirm proper selection? What are we talking about in terms of variance?

Check your CT polarity also, if your Main CTs aren't reversed then one CT will cancel from the other.

You can do this by reversing one set of leads.

I tried reversing one set and the result then went to near zero.

Sorry for not knowing this, but where would these settings come from? On the Smartenergygroups side? Also, and again I apologize for my ignorance, but is there a place to see the real-time data comeing out of the GEM... I'm wondering of what is being displayed on SEG is off because it's only uploaded every minute?

Yes, when you login to your GEM's internal set up page there is a live data tab which will show you what the current power value are.

On the page where it asks you to enter the CT's please ensure the selection is for the appropriate 100/200 amp CT you're using. Please also confirm you have inserted both CT's into the appropriate plug jack outlined by the plastic template.

What is the variance we are talking about? Also when you login to the GEM's set up page please do take a few screen captures of the various tabs for review.

We have a winner! I had not changed CT type to Split-200 for the main.

Now an issue I'm having is I added the rest of my CT's and went into Data Post and selected 22 channels, but in SEG it doesn't seem to be getting the data from the 14 new channels I added. Is there a way to have SEG "re-scan" the channels?

Here's my current setup tabs:

Yes, simply perform another discovery at SEG and the remaining channels will appear.

Also are the 1-wire temperature channels not going to be tracked and monitored? As I see you have eight enrolled but only one selected but none of them enabled for data post?

I had that one enabled thinking it was an internal temp sensor, I'm guessing not, since it always reports 0 C. I need to disable it. I unchecked it for reporting when I added the new channels. It would be nice if there were a way to get an internet source for outside temperature from wunderground or weather.com.

Also nice would be Time Of Use metering... is there a way to do that?

Thanks for the help by the way... I got about 1/4 of the way through your posts re: your home setup, very impressive stuff. I'm not going to be able to go in that direction with this house, but I hope to copy some of your stuff for our next house.

The GEM does not currently have the ability to go out to other sites like weather.com etc.

But the Dash Box offers many options for ToU and custom billing rates. The DB is the premier method to store, monitor, track, and aggregate all of the energy, temperature, pulse, and voltage data.

It would probably be a good idea to install all eight 1- wire temperature probes so local temperatures could be tracked and monitored in real time via SEG.

Also I apologize my install thread has for this month exceeded its bandwidth allocation. So many of the images have been held back until next month.

Also In the interim you could submit a feature request to Brultech and perhaps In the future some kind of 3rd party weather service could be integrated.

I use my ISY-994 iZ, Autelis Bridge, Dash Box, HAM weather for all environmental monitoring and reactive services in and around my home.
