COM 3.18

Post by Teken » Tue Oct 28, 2014 12:07 pm

Installed GEM COM 3.18 and it has indeed corrected the spurious current / amp readings showing up in empty channels or those not in use.

On a side note I am still seeing problems with the GEM Network Tool in v6.0. Where it sometimes has a hard time finding the GEM or indicates there are no valid serial numbers to poll from when using the *Get GEM Info*.

As a long time user, I just ignore the error pop up messages and push forward and try again until the system connects.

If something could be done to ensure a first time poll / connection could be made that would be great. As I know this area causes the most headaches & pain for new owners / members just getting the unit and trying to set it up.

As always much thanks Paul!

Interesting, I never have seen the issue you describe.

Anyone know where the GEM COM 3.18 firmware can be found? I'm currently running 3.17 and have also noticed that there are various odd readings for current in unused channels.

Ben

The standard support link to "Firmware" just lists support manuals and the standalone dashboard software etc. I'm logged in, but no listing of either Eng. or Com firmware to be found...

Give it a go now, GreenEye firmware wasn't enabled on your account.

Thanks Ben, got it now and updated successfully with the GEM Network Utility. As reported by another user, the spurious current readings on unused channels have now gone back to the expected 0's.

Thanks,

I am running into the same issue. When clicking the "Firmware" link it keeps sending me back to the main selection page.

I have also not found a way to update my account with the GEM serial number.

Thanks!

Thanks Ben! Now it works.

Somehow I do remember a different site for GEM firmware at some point but it may have been merged back or I just do not remember right :D
