Is it possible to connect two devices that can capture, display, the 1 wire temperatures readings at the same time?
For example: If I had two GEM's and one of them had an existing 1 wire network in use. Could I simply tap off the data line in parallel to obtain the same readings? To expand on this use case if I had a GEM with an existing 1 wire network.
Could I then tap into the data line from the GEM and parallel that same data line to a third party device?
I do realize that I would have to first enroll each of the sensors to the new device so it could see and know which sensors readings applied to what. Is there a problem tying two independant systems data / ground wires together?
Any insight to this would be most helpful as I am trying to reduce another 1000 foot run of cable assuming the above solution is not viable.
Much Thanks

Guess you could just try it in the meantime if you have another 1 wire controller.
