COM 3.10 / Engine 1.48 Firmware Release

Post by Teken » Sun Jun 01, 2014 3:37 pm

Installed COM 3.10 this morning with out a hitch at 115200 baud. I did however notice that the GEM Network Utility cried that loading the Engine 1.48 firmware had to be done using 19200 baud? :?:

Regardless, all went smooth and the system came back up with out a hitch. Any release notes about the huge jump in COM 3.10 would be greatly appreciated. :P

I am really hoping this firmware release allows the GEM to push current, temperature, pulse values to the ISY!

The only UI changes I noticed was under the Channel Options where each channel has a (1) / (0) bracket?

What does this mean or signify?

I ask because channel two on my GEM is currently showing a (0) value?

Engine has to be loaded at 19200. COM can do both baud rates.

Unfortunately, the ISY stuff is on hold until they hit their next major firmware version as to not introduce more bugs into their existing system.

It means if the polarity is toggled on the channel or not, it's so you can keep track of whats going on.

Most of the changes won't be visible, here's a short list of some of them:

- Web time-out has been lowered.
- Working on improving WiFi/Ethernet module to use a secondary TCP connection for Client mode.
- Minor fix on web page to improve entering setup mode.
- Password input changed to password field.
- Auto-Reset improved with respect to the WiFi module.
