GEM Expansion Module

Post by OzTechGeek » Wed Mar 05, 2014 5:53 pm

Are there any plans to offer an expansion module for GEM beyond the 32 channels anytime soon, or is the only option a second GEM?

Expansion has not been deployed but they have considered doing so.

There's a header on the GEM for a planned expansion module, expanding it up to 48 channels. No ETA on it yet however.

Good to know, I'll hold off on purchasing a second GEM then, 48 channels may be enough for what I need. Thanks

Another option is to purchase the ECM-1240 for key circuits you really need to monitor. All of this data would still be pushed to the Dash Box (DB). So the captured data would still be in one place to view and log for historic reasons.
