You did it here, your TCP Client connection is right. Click Open and make sure the top-right says "Connected." and is green.

If that works, then just follow the instructions in my first post to load the firmware. Go straight to the latest COM version (4.33).

When I click Connect it just gives me an alert that says "Could not connect!"

Are you sure the power supplies I have are good enough? Mine says 5V 500mA. But the http://www.brultech.com/contact/ page says I need 2000mA.

I mean this used to work for like a year.

500mA is fine for the GEM. The 2A is for the DashBox.

What happens if you switch it to DHCP instead of Static? What IP address does it get assigned?

When I click DHCP and save it says it saves successfully but then when I hit search again it shows the same IP and that it switched back to static.

I don't see any conflicts on the router for the same IP address.

I just noticed the F/W version (the 82.0 number). It looks like the modules F/W may have gotten corrupted.

Download this program here:

http://www.wiznet.io/wp-content/uploads ... Config.zip

And this firmware here:

http://www.wiznet.io/wp-content/uploads ... r_0513.zip (the bin file inside the zip).

Try updating the firmware on the Ethernet module using the program above.

So I tried to update the COM to 4.33. It seemed to work.

Now I can call GET Gem Info.

An alert shows up:

---------------------------
GEM Network Utility
---------------------------
Refresh error 2 0

Response data = ¼lüJT*tœ:¾+J–+J–+J–ËË–ËË–ëË–ë˶«Êž™

Data Length = 40
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

And it says it can't get the GEM serial number.

Requesting GEM Serial Number...... FAIL
Reading settings.......OK
Reading hardware ........OK
Completed

Attempts to update the ENG at this point don't work.

So I switched the baud rate to 115200. This was able to connect and get gem info without issue.

But when I attempted to update the ENG firmware it said I had to switch back to 19200

If I do attempt to update the ENG when at 19200 (with the mixed success/error) it gives me this alert:

---------------------------
GEM Network Utility
---------------------------
No response from the GEM....... Now exiting
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

OK, I got it. On the Firmware tab I clicked the 19200 baud and then switched to ethernet and switched it to match.
