Database connection with Power BI

Post by rnoble » Wed Nov 20, 2019 1:34 pm

I'm wondering if it's possible and what it would take to connect Microsoft Power BI to the database in my dashbox? I see PostgreSQL as a connection option in Power BI, though it's not immediately clear how I make the connection. I understand how to enter the server/port, but don't know what database/name to call out. Sorry if this is an ignorant question. I'm just recommissioning my system after building a new home 3-years ago.

Database is called brultech_dash.

Use the backup user/pass you can set under the DashBox Settings, it has full SELECT privileges.
