btmon.py and unmonitored channel

Post by cpreecs » Tue Nov 26, 2013 10:49 am

I have recently started using btmon with my ECM-1240 to upload usage to SEG. I've been able to get the default channels into SEG but I would also like to get the other/un-monitored virtual channel as calculated by ECM into SEG. Is there a way to do this? Thanks.

You can probably do this with calculated streams on SEG.

I would try the following:

Edit your device and click "Add Stream", call it "Sum of Channels" or something, make sure allow negatives is check marked, calculated is check marked, and set the "Calibration" to -1.0.

Save that stream, then click on the stream. Click on the calculated tab and add the all the streams except your Main Panel stream.

Add another Calculated stream, this time leave the calibration at 1.0.

To that calculated stream, add "Sum of Channels" and your Main Panel stream.

You'll have to do this for Watts and kWh.

I have tried using a calculated stream on SEG but not in the manner you outlined. I'll give that a shot. Thanks!
