btmon and GEM, missing power data

Post by sjthespian » Sat Dec 26, 2015 9:27 pm

I was using SEG for a couple of years, but with their move to a fee-based model I've taken the plunge and switched over to btmon and emoncms. For the most part things are working but I can't get power data out of the system.

Energy is working fine, I have valid data in both my rrd files and my emoncms feeds. However, all of my power data is zero. If I use rrdtool to dump my *_pws rrd files, all of the data is 0.0000000000e+00.

I have gone through all of the settings in both btmon and my GEM that I can think of, can anyone give me any pointers on where to look next?

I'm running btmon 3.1.1 in client mode and have firmware version 4.0 on the GEM. The gem is set for real-time mode with BIN48-Net-Time packet format.

Any ideas?

What's your voltage reading on the GEM? Can you check the PT settings under Channel Option to make sure they didn't go out of whack.

The live data on the GEM looks good to me. The PT settings all look correct as well. The odd thing is that the pws rrd files are all fine, it's just the aws info that is bad.

Yeah Live looks good.

Can you post your BTMon config file?
