If you download our IA software (http://www.brultech.com/software under the ECM-1240 section), you can capture a packet there and convert it to hex.

- Connect to the GEM via TCP Client.
- Go to the Xbee Commands tab.
- Checkmark ASCII/Binary format.
- Wait for a packet.

It should look like (FE FF 05 being the header bytes and packet identification, FF EE 15 being the footer and checksum):

FE FF 05 04 AB 00 F4 68 3F 00 00 2B 64 04 00 87 05 75 03 00 C9 E0 86 15 00 DD 82 31 00 00 C2 B2 C 00 00 D8 F 06 00 00 2B 00 05 00 00 4E BA AF 06 00 23 76 05 00 00 ED 61 00 00 00 53 10 EE 02 00 63 F0 09 00 00 11 72 FE 03 00 6B 32 01 00 00 A3 64 1D 02 00 A5 07 02 00 00 00 BA EA 02 00 00 43 03 00 00 81 1C 87 00 00 B1 01 BD 00 00 F6 B 01 00 00 5D 36 12 03 00 F 4E 7D 03 00 44 00 00 00 00 D1 B 00 00 00 90 C1 B3 01 00 00 01 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 32 01 00 00 00 22 01 00 00 00 66 02 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 85 58 A9 01 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 A 00 A 08 05 5C 00 17 00 23 00 B 00 05 00 03 00 06 00 27 00 06 00 09 00 09 00 09 00 9C 02 03 00 88 00 04 00 78 00 04 00 A 00 05 00 03 00 61 00 47 00 00 00 00 00 86 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 57 A4 03 21 1E 80 61 07 80 FA 6F 00 3B 04 80 5C 03 80 BD 00 80 00 56 00 86 75 FE 80 3B 54 80 68 B0 06 09 02 A 01 00 00 01 00 00 01 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 C 07 15 D 1F 1F FF FE 15

I haven't received any packets in the ECM IA app either.

So I disconnected and reconnected and got this singular packet with no further packets afterwards as well.

Code: Select all

Packet looks OK.

Did you re-enable idle time? Idle time will disconnect you every X seconds if enabled, so you need to make sure that's turned off if trying to log continuous packets with the IA software.

Setting the idle time back to 0 has the IA software receiving packets every 30 seconds as a client. When I configure btmon as a client it also pulls data. Any reason why the server mode isn't working?

Can you post your Ethernet settings currently? I'm assuming it's in Server mode if you're connecting to it in Client mode?

Once idle time is 0, you'll no longer be able to do Server/Client mode at the same time. It can only hold one connection at a time.
