The ECM-1220 is a Professional Energy Monitor
capable of monitoring any residential load and many light commercial
loads.
Whether you need to monitor a refrigerator,
central air unit, sub-panel or entire service panel, the ECM-1220 will
do the job.
Employing a special technique, the ECM-1220 is
now capable of monitoring one entire 120V/240V split phase service
panel PLUS a second 120V/240V panel (sub panel) or load using
CH1 for one load and CH2 for the other.
Features:
- Simple installation
- Easy to read LCD display with backlight
- Flash Upgradeable firmware
- Two channel design can monitor up to two 240V
loads
- Capable of monitoring certain 3-phase loads
- Great accuracy at low cost
- Records data internally to non volatile memory
- No batteries required
- Sends "real time" data via USB port
- Optional wireless IEEE 802.15.4 communication
on a mesh network
- Large variety of CTs available, giving way to
almost any residential and light commercial applications.
ECM-1220 Displays:
- Power (watts) *
- Energy (kilowatt-hour KWh)
*
- Cost of Energy (dollars)
*
- Elapsed Monitoring Time
- Projected Energy for periods of 1 to 255
days (user selectable) *
- Projected Cost of energy for periods of
1 to 255 days (selectable)*
- Line Voltage (volts) and load Current
* (amps)
- Dollar-per-Hour rate of consumption*
- Peak Power
- Much more consumption information available
when used in conjunction with the RTL software.

May be displayed separately for CH1, CH2 and Total
(CH1 + CH2)
Newest Feature:
The latest
firmware version (ver 2.004) provides the ECM-1220 with certain
3-phase capabilities previously only available with monitors costing
over $1,000.
Here is
where the "Flash Upgradeable" feature of the ECM-1220 really shines!
Those customers having purchased their ECM-1220 prior to the release
of this new feature will be able to "flash upgrade" (download and
re-program) their energy monitor to include this new capability.
This new
feature provides the ECM-1220 with ability to monitor two phase loads
or panels fed from a 3-phase service. These are quite typical in light
commercial/industrial environment. The panels are usually labelled: "120V/208V".
The ECM-1220, with the latest firmware can also monitor a 208V 3-wire
load (requires an optional transformer)
